Dr. Heard earned her PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles in 2011. As a licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Louisiana and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with Doctoral designation (BCBA-D), she possesses the highest level of certification and demonstrates her dedication to maintaining the highest professional standards.
Catherine's journey in the field of autism began during her undergraduate program, where she worked as a one-to-one therapist. This experience ignited her passion for creating better access to quality care for individuals with autism and shaped her career path. Over the past 25 years, she has worked extensively with individuals with exceptionalities both nationally and internationally, touching the lives of countless families and patients.
Originally hailing from the sunny state of California, Catherine now resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with her husband and two children. She has dedicated her career to making a difference in the lives of individuals with autism and their families, from small everyday changes to transformative life experiences. Each moment of progress and growth holds deep meaning and fulfillment for her.
